About the role

As a Data Engineer, you are the architect behind all our data sets and our Dividuals® consumer segmentation. Your expertise allows you to design and build robust data pipelines, ensuring data is collected, stored, and processed efficiently. With your knowledge in data architecture, ETL processes, and cutting-edge technologies, you play an essential role to provide clients and colleagues with reliable and geolocated data.

From consumer segmentation (Dividuals®), behavioural data, market potentials, location data, travel times, etc., the list of data available to work with is extensive. With over 30 years of experience, SIRIUS Insight boasts the sharpest market data, and you’ll have the chance to work with it.

Your role at SIRIUS Insight will be diverse, supported by a team of experts:

Design, develop, and maintain databases/data stores.
Design, develop, and maintain data architecture.
Design, develop, and maintain tools for data collection and processing.
Collect, analyse, structure, link, etc. datasets.
Make all data available for colleagues and support them in the usage of the data.

We’re looking for someone with advanced data engineering expertise and a passion for continually refining data processing and integration methods.

We seek a dedicated colleague with profound expertise in data pipelines, programming, and automation processes. Someone proactive, well-versed in cutting-edge data technologies, and capable of suggesting internal enhancements both from a technological and analytical perspective.

Experience & Skills

You should hold a Master’s degree in Data Engineering or a scientific field such as computer science, statistics, or engineering.
Demonstrated experience of 3-5 years in a data engineering or related role.
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with advanced usage and implementation of PostgreSQL in real-world projects.
Extensive knowledge in various areas, including Relational Databases, Data Warehousing, Data Architecture, and Data Governance.
Proficiency in API programming and knowledge of ETL processes is a plus.
Fluency in either French or Dutch.
